*ANNOUNCEMENT* 

During the library’s temporary closure, Charter Oak Cultural Center (COCC) has generously agreed to serve as a temporary venue for unhoused individuals who would normally access the downtown library branch. Beginning this Wednesday (March 8, 2023), COCC will make their sanctuary available for up to 20 ppl at a time from 9:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

There will be a social worker on site who will staff the sanctuary during this time.  Snacks will also be made available.  As part of their planning efforts, COCC has spoken to Officer Barrett about his visiting COCC to check in with visitors and staff.
