How to Participate

1. Pick up a bookmark activity card from any of our locations

2.  Complete 9 qualifying activities: See right column →

3. Get Your Stamps: For each activity you complete, you get one stamp. Visit any branch location for a stamp. Branch locations and addresses can be found at THIS LINK

4. Submit Your Completed Card: When you complete 9 activities, sign your name/add your phone number & submit your card to any branch by Saturday, August 17th. 

5. Raffle! You will be entered into a raffle for one of three grand prizes: $200, $100, or $50 Visa gift card

Qualifying Activities

• Read a book of any kind or read a book to your child
  • Search our items HERE
• Get a library card
• Try out any item from our Library of Things
• Visit our Library on Wheels at community event
• Try out our e-resources:
  • Libby for audiobooks and ebooks (download the app)
  • Kanopy for movies
  • Freegal for Music
• Attend any library program
• Share your library experience with the "HPL and You" oral history project at any branch
  • Can be done from any device (mobile/PC/Mac)
• Participate in the 250th HPL anniversary scavenger hunt
  • Supplies will be available at branches starting June 1st
• Visit a Hartford park and take a selfie!
