Brainfuse

Live tutors from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST for school and college students. Options available 24/7 include submitting papers and other documents for feedback and creating flashcards and other study aides.

Digitallearn.org

Self-directed video tutorials in English and Spanish covering basic computer skills.

Universal Class 

Self-paced courses covering many personal and professional development areas. Most courses take 10-20 hours to complete; courses must be completed within 6 months.

Researching for Teens & YA

Access a variety of research resources available with your HPL Library Card or open to anyone.

LearningExpress 

Develop the skills needed in the job market. Includes study guides and practice test for GED and Citizen Tests. Covers standardize tests for a variety of professions, college admissions, and instruction on basic computer skills and popular software.

Pronunciator

Learn over 160 languages with self-directed lessons, live teachers, movies, music, and more

Great Courses 

Experts deliver video lectures on academic subjects, cooking, health, hobbies, travel, and finance. After checking out a 7-day pass, you will be linked to the Great Courses website.

Creativebug

Learn a variety of crafts with step-by-step videos, patterns, templates, and recipes (the first time you log in, you will need to create an account).

If you are hungry after school, stop by the Albany Branch Library for some snacks courtesy of FoodShare. When the Downtown Library reopens after the water damage is repaired, stop by YOUmedia for an after school snack.

The Barbour Branch Library offers a free bag of shelf-stable groceries through FoodShare on a monthly basis. The Albany Branch Library also distributes free food weekly. Check the calendar to know when these events are happening each month.
