Who can help me find an answer to a question?
If you need help finding an answer or need to know how to begin researching a topic, send an email to reference@hplct.org. Alternately, you can contact the Teen and Young Adult Services Librarian, or go to any of the public libraries in Hartford and talk to a librarian.
Where can I request items?
You can request books and other materials using the library catalog here and logging in with your library card. You can also call 860-695-6300 or visit the library most convenient for you.

How can I recommend a title for the collection?
Recommend a title we don’t own by logging into your library account and filling out the Send a Request form. Due to the volume of requests we receive, please limit your requests to no more than three (3) per month.
How do I reserve a meeting room?
To reserve a meeting room or event space, please go here. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Room reservations will be considered if booked two weeks in advance of the meeting date. Please see the meeting room policy when reserving a meeting room. How can I access the online resources that required an ID number?
You can access the resources by using your HPL library card number. Alternatively, if you're using a Hartford Public School Id Number:
