Resources for Workforce Development

The HPL Teen and YA Services team has collected a variety of resources for workforce development from how to write a cover letter and a resume to volunteer opportunities.


 

                

Capital Workforce Partners/American Job Center

Capital Workforce Partners helps individuals overcome barriers to employment and closes the gap between skills and business hiring needs.

Capital Workforce Partners serves customers through the American Job Centers. All American Job Centers are open to the public. Customers can visit the America Job Center locations for services or call to make an appointment.

Hartford Work-Based Learning Network

The Hartford Work-Based Learning Network serves as a learning community that develops strategies to ensure Hartford high school students are ready for post-secondary success in higher education, skills training, and career advancement. 

                                    

The American Place (TAP) Job Resources

TAP has an extensive collection of job resources available for free. These curated tools can be used to land your first job, change your field, or advance your career.


 

The Hartford Opportunity Youth Collaborative Training and Employment Navigation Tool

Do you need help finding employment services? Complete this brief survey relating to your educational needs, career interests, and desired services. The Tool will then direct you to a list of programs and services tailored to your individual survey responses. If you have immediate basic needs that are unmet please click this link to visit the broader 211 portal at 211ct.org.
